Joe Mac
Joe Mac has spent a lifetime in the music business. He has worked with the stars in UK and Ireland, in the media, and as a DJ.
Joe who was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland many moons ago, remembers starting his romance with music when he bought a copy of ‘Sealed with a Kiss’ by Brian Hyland on his way back from summer camp in 1962.
After leaving school he stuck with a legal career for 12 years but grew tired of that and longed to work in music fulltime. He had been developing a great reputation as a DJ in some local nightclubs. He was resident in Whispers night club in Groomsport village on Northern Ireland’s eastern coast. He was also resident at Club Cheri in Warrenpoint near the southern border of Northern Ireland.
From this experience he was given the chance to work for one of the biggest promotion companies in the music business BMG.
For the last twenty five years Joe has been promotions and marketing manager for BMG working with artists such as Eurythmics, Take That, Westlife, Midge Ure, Brian Kennedy and Pink, to name but a few! During this time he has appeared on the BBC and UTV giving expert commentary.
Joe has also been broadcasting on local community station ‘Ferry FM’ over the last twenty years.
